The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the contract extension of the Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, despite a salary reduction from $70,000 to $50,000 per month.

The NFF has stated that the new contract includes a mandate for Peseiro to lead the national team to the semi-finals of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament in the Ivory Coast, scheduled for January 2023.

The NFF has expressed its confidence in Peseiro's ability to continue to lead the team to success despite the financial constraints.
