Today marks the final burial ceremony of the esteemed individual, Gihan Mbelu, a notable figure in Nigeria known for his roles as a financial advisor, entrepreneur, and chairman of Victoria Garden City, a residential area in Lekki, Lagos.

Born on October 16, 1982, in Anambra, Nigeria, Gihan Mbelu passed away on April 26, 2024, in Lagos. He was married to Eloho Gihan Mbelu, a tech entrepreneur and former banker, and together they had two lovely daughters.

Gihan Mbelu's impact and leadership were particularly significant in the VGC community, where he played a vital role.

His sudden death at the age of 42 on April 26, 2014, was a tragic and unexpected event. He was found unconscious in his Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC, which had been running for hours, parked in Victoria Garden City, Lagos State. Despite being rushed to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, he was pronounced dead. The circumstances surrounding his death were mysterious, leading the Lagos State Police Command to launch an investigation.

An autopsy was planned to determine the cause of his death, and detectives were deployed to unravel the mystery, as the situation raised many questions.

Gihan Mbelu was a distinguished financial advisor and entrepreneur, with a career that spanned various aspects of finance and business leadership. He began his professional journey in the financial sector, offering expert advice to individuals and corporations, assisting them in navigating the complexities of investment and financial planning.
