Liverpool Football Club began their 2024/2025 Premier League campaign on a high note, securing a 2-0 victory against newly promoted Ipswich Town.

The match, which saw a goalless first half, came alive in the second half with Diego Jota scoring the opener in the 60th minute.

"Ipswich gave us a tough game, but we showed our quality in the end," said Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp. "I'm proud of the team's performance and the three points."

The Reds' Egyptian superstar, Mohammed Salah, doubled the lead, sealing the win and sending Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table.
