Ghanaian music star, Medikal, sparked controversy by claiming to be wealthier than Nigerian singer Asake.

The 31-year-old hip-hop artist made this assertion on social media while bantering with Nigerian users.

Medikal threw shade by suggesting that one of the toughest aspects of a dispute is responding to those without accomplishments. In response to a comment suggesting that Ghanaian artists would have to compete with emerging talents like Asake, Medikal asserted that Asake from Nigeria is not even close to being richer than him.

He wrote:

“One of the hardest tasks about beef is replying a rapper with zero achievements. where you go even start from ? lol”

@AsiwajuLerry_ said: “Ghana artistes chatting about achievements is a funny move. The biggest artiste in your country will have to battle with a new cat like Asake if it’s by number of achievements. Stop yapping on Twitter and get in the booth.”

Medikal replied: “I totally respect what you are saying but Asake no get money pass me.”
