Veteran British actor Michael Caine has announced his retirement from acting after a successful career spanning over six decades.

Caine, who is 90 years old, revealed the news in an interview with BBC Radio 4’s Today show on Saturday, October 14th. Caine stated that he wanted to focus on spending time with his family and grandchildren in his retirement.

He also revealed that his final role will be in the upcoming film Best Sellers, which is currently in post-production.

He said

I keep saying I’m going to retire. Well I am now. I’ve figured, I’ve had a picture where I’ve played the lead and had incredible reviews … What am I going to do that will beat this?”
