Mr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the Minister of FCT, has inaugurated the Sunrise Waterpark, a premier recreational facility known to be the largest in West Africa. Situated on Asokoro Hill, the park boasts expansive views overlooking Mogadishu Barracks, Abuja, and other parts of the city center.

The minister praised the Waterpark as a testament to the vibrancy and potential of the FCT's tourism sector, hailing Sunrise and Nadeem Group of companies for their commitment and foresight in completing the project. He emphasized that the park's establishment would eliminate the need for FCT residents to travel outside the city or country for leisure, leading to significant savings in foreign exchange.

Wike encouraged FCT residents to visit the Waterpark and enjoined its managers to maintain high operational standards to attract more patrons. He also highlighted the tourism potential of other FCT sites like the fishing site in Yaba and the Ushafa Pottery center, calling for private sector investment to rejuvenate these areas.

Tania Khalaf, Chairperson of Nadeem Group of Companies, highlighted the company's commitment to quality and visionary construction, evident in the design of the Sunrise Waterpark. She emphasized the park's unique landscaping, offering panoramic views of Abuja and fostering family bonds, friendship, job creation, and foreign investments in the FCT.
