The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has announced that the long-awaited completion of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, a bustling route undergoing reconstruction, is slated for mid-September.

Umahi made this statement during an inspection tour of completed and ongoing federal government projects in Lagos State on Tuesday, August 29th.

"The minister was given a comprehensive briefing by officials of the Ministry of Works and Housing and the contractors overseeing various projects in that area.

The Ministry released a scorecard towards the end of the previous administration, revealing that between 2016 and 2022, a grand total of 8,352.94 kilometers of roads were either constructed or rehabilitated - a significant accomplishment!"
