In a heart-wrenching statement, Mama Mohbad, the mother of the late Afrobeat star, has appealed to the public to respect their family's privacy during this difficult time.

Speaking at the coroner's inquest, she emphasized that any decisions made by Mohbad's father are final.

"Whatever Mohbad's dad says is the final. We don't want any elaborate celebration over our son's remembrance. The best you can do is to pray for him," she said, her voice filled with emotion.

The family's plea comes amidst swirling controversy surrounding Mohbad's death, with his wife, Wunmi, facing scrutiny over alleged infidelity and potential involvement in the singer's tragic passing.

"You all should please leave us alone and let us settle our family," she urged.
