A suspected motorcycle thief was allegedly lynched by a mob in Okopedi community in Okobo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, according to a Facebook post by Hon. Eddy Akpan.

The incident reportedly occurred on Friday, August 11, and photos from the scene show that the suspect was set on fire after allegedly stealing a brand new motorcycle.

Akpan called for justice for the victim and warned against taking the law into one's own hands.
