Napoli's Europa League Dreams Dashed in Defeat to Bologna

Despite aiming for a European tournament, Napoli's recent form has faltered, earning just one point in their last four matches.

The absence of key players like Piotr Zielinski and Leander Dendoncker added to their challenges, although Giacomo Raspadori and Mario Rui returned to the bench. Bologna capitalized on Napoli's defensive vulnerabilities to score, with Dan Ndoye heading in from close range after a chaotic situation in the Napoli box. Stefan Posch doubled Bologna's lead three minutes later, scoring from a Kacper Urbanski corner.

Napoli had a chance to get back in the game when Victor Osimhen won a penalty, but Matteo Politano's spot-kick was saved by Federico Ravaglia, marking Napoli's fourth penalty miss of the season. Despite Napoli's efforts to stage a comeback, Bologna's defense and goalkeeper Ravaglia thwarted any threats, including a fingertip save to deny Osimhen.
