Napoli's woes in the Serie A league have intensified, as they suffered a demoralizing 3-0 defeat to Hellas Verona in the opening match of the 2024 season.

Victor Osimhen's struggles on the pitch mirrored the team's overall performance, leaving fans and coach Antonio Conte  searching for answers.

"We didn't expect this kind of performance, especially after our preparations," said Spalletti. "We need to analyze what went wrong and work on our weaknesses."

Osimhen, who was expected to lead Napoli's attack, was unable to make an impact, highlighting the team's dependence on their star striker.

"We can't rely on one player to win games," Spalletti emphasized. "We need a collective effort to turn our season around."

Napoli's defeat to Verona marks their second consecutive loss, raising concerns about their ability to compete in the Serie A league. 

The team's defense was exposed, and their attack failed to create scoring opportunities.

"We need to regroup and focus on our next match," said Conte. "We can't let this defeat define our season."
