National Assembly Summons Bobrisky and Others Over Alleged N15M Bribe Scandal

The Nigerian National Assembly is making headlines after an explosive claim by social media influencer, VeryDarkMan (VDM), alleging that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) accepted a N15 million bribe from popular cross-dresser, Bobrisky.

According to the accusation, the EFCC not only received the bribe but also arranged for Bobrisky to be housed in a luxury serviced apartment during what was supposed to be his prison sentence.

In response to the allegations, the House of Representatives has called for an official investigation.

As part of this probe, they have summoned several key figures, including VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyode, the Comptroller General of Prisons, and all officers involved in the alleged transaction.

The individuals are expected to appear before the House on Thursday, September 13, 2024, between 10 and 11 AM.

VDM, through his legal representative, Barrister Deji Adeyanju, has confirmed that he will be attending the hearing.

However, Bobrisky and other parties named in the controversy have yet to publicly confirm their attendance.

This high-profile case has captured the attention of Nigerians, with many speculating on whether Bobrisky will appear in person and, if so, how he will dress for such a serious event.

As the country waits for more developments, the outcome of this investigation could have significant legal and reputational consequences for everyone involved.
