In a tragic turn of events, a high-ranking military officer, Brigadier General Ibrahim Ahmadu, reportedly passed away during the Nigerian Army's Second Annual Physical Training Test for 2023.

He was said to have collapsed while running and was pronounced dead at the hospital to which he was rushed.

The General, who was an Artillery Officer serving in the Army Headquarters Department of Special Services and Programme, was buried on Monday evening in accordance with Islamic rites.

This unfortunate event has left many within the military community in shock and mourning.
