Nigerian producer and singer, Chisom Faith, better known as Rexxie, has been arrested by authorities in Uganda.

The artist took to his Instagram to announce the arrest, explaining that it is unfair but did not disclose the reason behind the arrest. The artist also created the hashtag "UgandaFreeRexxie" and asked for help from his fans.

This is not the first time that Nigerian artists have been arrested in Uganda. In December 2020, singers Omah Lay and Tems were arrested for performing a concert despite social distancing rules due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After spending two days in jail,
