On Sunday, Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja for New York City, United States to attend the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Presidential spokesperson, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, informed reporters at the State House in Abuja that President Tinubu would be attending UNGA with the goal of strengthening Nigeria's economic ties.

President Tinubu is expected to address the assembly and meet with world leaders, including the UN Secretary General, António Guterres, to discuss important issues facing Nigeria and the international community.

President Bola Tinubu will reportedly meet with CEOs from several major multinational companies, including Microsoft's Brad Smith, Meta's Nick Clegg, and General Electric's CEO, to discuss digital transformation, innovation, energy, and petroleum sector opportunities.

In addition to participating in summits on Sustainable Development Goals and climate ambition, President Tinubu will also hold bilateral meetings with world leaders such as US President Joe Biden, the President of Spain, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, the President of South Africa, and others.
