The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have announced plans to hold a joint press briefing on Tuesday, September 27, to declare an indefinite strike.
The unions, in a statement released on Sunday, said the strike would be in response to the non-implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage and other labour demands.
The statement also announced that the strike would affect public and private sector workers, and called on Nigerians to prepare for the disruption.
This development comes after months of negotiations between the unions and the government over workers' demands.
