Renowned Nollywood actor Junior Pope Odonwodo, popularly known as Jnr Pope, tragically lost his life along with three colleagues in a boating accident on Wednesday, April 10.

The incident took place on the Anam River in Anambra State while the actors were on their way to a movie shoot. Earlier, Jnr Pope had posted a video on Instagram showing himself on a boat crossing the river.

Unfortunately, the boat capsized, leading to the drowning of all four actors. The news has shocked fans and fellow industry figures, who have expressed their condolences and disbelief on social media platforms.

The incident has raised questions about safety measures, with some noting the absence of life jackets and calling for caution during boat trips.
