Two roommates were left counting their blessings after a bullet pierced through their ceiling, went through their bed, and landed under the bed.

One of the roommates - a nursing student - said she had been out of the house when the incident occurred, and the bed was unoccupied.

When she returned, she found a hole in the ceiling and began searching the room, discovering a hole through the bedsheets, the mattress, and the base of the bed.

The bullet had fallen on the floor beneath the bed, narrowly missing anyone in the room.
