The drama between Odion Ighalo and his ex-wife Sonia has taken a new turn.

Sonia has publicly asked the footballer to retrieve his bride price, revealing her father single-handedly sponsored their traditional wedding.

Sonia shared: "Make plans to collect your bride price. Remember when I planned this three or four years ago, but your family did not turn up? After planning a lovely farewell party with lots of food and entertainment, you all wasted my money."

She further explained: "Knowing that my father was the sole sponsor of our traditional marriage, your mother's children disrespected him and his elders by keeping them waiting."

Sonia specifically addressed Odion's brother:

"Your older brother then claimed (as quoted by you in Dubai) that he was afraid of my father and couldn’t visit his home."

She concluded: "Please send your village representatives or my esteemed Sir Clement Ighalo, who is first in charge, to collect the bride price. Don't forget, Sir."

This public demand comes after days of subtle jabs between the former couple. Odion had previously asked Sonia to "rest" from his case amidst rumors of his remarriage.
