Governor of Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has reportedly ordered the seizure of an approximately 100-hectare of land belonging to Kazeem Adio, a former Chairman of the Osun State Local Government Service Commission.

Adio had allegedly used his office to acquire the land, despite it being a government property. The seizure is part of the governor's efforts to curb illegal land acquisition in the state.
The land will be reverted to its original owners, who are said to be poor and deprived farmers.
