In an effort to prevent a disease outbreak, the Oyo State government has announced plans to recruit 200 health workers.

The announcement was made by the state's Commissioner for Health, Dr. Bashir Bello, during a press briefing in Ibadan.

The new workers will be recruited in various categories, including nurses, midwives, laboratory scientists, and health attendants.

They will be deployed to the state's hospitals and health centers to boost the provision of healthcare services.

The recruitment is part of the state government's strategy to strengthen its healthcare system and reduce the risk of disease outbreaks.

Dr. Bello noted that the move is in line with the state's vision to provide quality healthcare to its citizens. He said that the new workers will receive training and orientation on the state's health policies and programs, as well as the latest healthcare technologies.

They will also be given allowances and other benefits to help them settle into their new roles.

In addition to the recruitment of new health workers, the state government is also taking other measures to prevent disease outbreaks.

These include improving sanitation and hygiene, strengthening the surveillance system, and increasing public awareness on health issues.

Dr. Bello called on the people of Oyo State to cooperate with the government in its efforts to keep the state healthy and safe.

He also urged them to maintain good personal hygiene and report any suspected cases of disease to the nearest health facility.
