The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is currently holding a meeting with members of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors' Forum in his office in Abuja.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum and Governor of Bauchi state, Bala Muhammed, along with the governors of Adamawa, Ahmadu Fintiri; Plateau, Caleb Muftwang; and Taraba, Agbu Kefas, arrived at Wike's office at approximately12:40 p.m. Upon their arrival, Wike led the governors into a closed-door meeting.
This meeting is part of their efforts to address the ongoing crisis in Rivers state, following alleged attempts by the minister to impeach Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers state. More details will be provided shortly.
