The media team of former presidential candidate Peter Obi has raised an alarm, accusing the Bola Tinubu presidency of scheming to arrest Obi in connection with the planned nationwide protest on August 1.
The team dismissed allegations made by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, which linked Obi to the protest, as unfounded and malicious.
They suggested that the presidency is attempting to justify arresting Obi and restricting his freedom of association. The team emphasized Obi's commitment to peaceful and issue-driven politics, contrary to the presidency's accusations.
They also alleged that the presidency has hired "attack dogs" to discredit Obi and prevent him from speaking out on governance issues.
