The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed a deadly attack by bandits in the Unguwan Dankali area of Zaria Local Government, which has left four people dead and four others injured.

The incident occurred on Friday, with police responding to a distress call to find six people critically injured.

The police also rescued five kidnapped victims, including a two-year-old boy and an eight-month-old baby, from the scene. The police have one suspect in custody and are currently investigating the incident.

The injured victims were rushed to the Muslim Clinic Hospital in Zaria, where doctors confirmed the deaths of four of the victims. The remaining victims are still receiving treatment in the hospital.

The Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, Musa Yusuf Garba, has extended his condolences to the families of the deceased, and has assured the public that the police will continue to work hard to ensure the safety of all residents of the state.
