Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted celebrity native doctor, Akwa Okuko Tiwari Aki, in Oba, Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State.

It is reported that the popular native doctor, known for his show of wealth, was kidnapped from his room at the Triple P Hotel in Oba on the night of Sunday, July 23, 2023, and that two of his security guards were shot dead in the process.

“Two of his security men were shot dead. Where is Nwa Ocha and Odeshi? This is someone people flock to his Oba mansion for anti-bullet charms and other money rituals,” a source said.

Spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident on Monday and said that the Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, has launched a manhunt for the abductors.

"We can confirm that the police received a report of the abduction of a popular native doctor in Oba and the killing of his two security guards," Ikenga said.
