Trinidad and Tobago detests misbehaviour as Emon Lane face jail terms over murder cases

A 29-year-old man from Emon Lane, Valencia was held and charged with the murder of a man which occurred in 2020.



Lincoln Edwards was also slapped with charges for possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of firearm and ammunition to endanger life.


Police said the victim, Lawrence Lopez, 52, of Alexander Street, Valencia, was found lying in a pool of blood on Monday, September 21, by officers responding to a report of loud explosions at Pine Avenue, Valencia.


Edwards was arrested last Thursday.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man from Santa Cruz Akeil Alexander also called Birdboy was scheduled to appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate yesterday in connection with murder, possession of firearm, ammunition and possession of firearm and ammunition to endanger life.


The accused was arrested by PC Villaroel of the San Juan Police Station in connection with the death of Christian Perez which occurred on Friday, May 21, in Santa Cruz.
