President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the release of 100 metric tons of food items from the strategic reserve and the Rice Millers Association of Nigeria as a short-term response to the rising food shortage in the country.

According to the minister of information and national orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, who revealed to newsmen at the State House after a meeting of the Special Presidential Committee on Emergency Food Intervention on Thursday, as he urge the citizens to take it easy with the President, stating that Tinubu is doing his best to put the country in shape.
