President Bola Tinubu has congratulated His Eminence, Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, and the Sokoto Sultanate Council on the occasion of the respected royal father's 67th birthday.
The President, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, expressed gratitude for the Sultan's sacrifices and selflessness, citing his role as the head of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (Society for the Support of Islam) and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs.
The President commended the Sultan for his generosity, friendliness, and appreciation for others, who has used his position to encourage citizens to value harmony in society, and helped to bring about platforms that foster Nigeria's unity, such as establishing the Peace Accord for elections through the National Peace Committee.
As he celebrates his 67th birthday, the President hopes that the Sultan's wealth of experience will continue to be a valuable asset for Nigeria's development, particularly in bridging religious, ethnic, and cultural divides.
President Tinubu prayed for continued good health, strength, and wisdom for His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto.
