President Bola Tinubu has advocated for a combination of public and private financing for Nigerian universities, as a way to improve the quality of education in the country.

Speaking at the grand finale of the Combined 37th and 38th Convocation of the University of Ilorin, Tinubu said that with the right blend of public and private funding, Nigerian universities will be able to acquire the resources they need to raise the standard of higher education.

He was represented by the Minister of State for Education, Yusuf Sununu.
