In a significant move, President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), replacing Yusuf Magaji Bichi.

This development was made public by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, in a statement released on Monday, August 25, 2024.

"I am pleased to announce that President Tinubu has appointed Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new Director-General of the DSS," said Chief Ngelale. "This appointment is a testament to the President's commitment to reinvigorating our national security architecture and ensuring that our country remains safe and secure."

Ajayi's appointment marks a new chapter in the leadership of the DSS, which has been instrumental in maintaining national security and stability. The outgoing DG, Yusuf Magaji Bichi, was appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari in 2018.
