Prophet Austin Ariole, the General Overseer of Goshen Freedom Tabernacle (GFT) in Delta State, has come out in defense of Naira Marley, the owner of Marlian Records, following the death of Mohbad.

While acknowledging the loss of the talented musician, the prophet refuted claims that Naira Marley played a role in his passing, instead placing the blame on the deceased's family and their alleged witchcraft practices.

He went on to criticize the Church for not doing enough to protect Mohbad, who should have found refuge there.

The prophet also claimed that these witches were motivated to kill Mohbad because they could see his bright future and knew that he was destined for success.

Prophet Ariole expressed sympathy for the family but also criticized Mohbad's father, saying that he did not do enough to protect his son.

Prophet Ariole stated that while parents often seek out mountains to hide their children from harm, the father did not do this for his son.

The prophet also expressed concern over the father's apparent preoccupation with financial concerns surrounding the burial, rather than the tragedy itself.

He said, “I don’t like worldly musicians, but I just picked interest in this one, and when I was praying last night, God revealed to me that Naira Marley did not kill Mohbad. Witches from his village killed him.”
