On Wednesday, August 9th, Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested in Florida after failing to appear in court to face charges relating to traffic violations.

He was taken to Palm Beach County Jail where he was photographed for his mug shot and was released after posting a $2,000 bail.

TMZ reports that the arrest stems from 3 traffic tickets that Tekashi received after being pulled over in June for speeding.

In July, Tekashi was scheduled to appear in court to address the traffic violations but failed to do so, which resulted in a judge issuing a warrant for his arrest.

This warrant was executed when Tekashi was arrested on August 9th. This isn't the first time the rapper has had a run-in with the law.

He was previously sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple crimes, including racketeering and assault.

During his trial, he also cooperated with the authorities by testifying against members of his former gang.
