Rapper Vic Mensa Denies Owing Rent After Landlord Files Lawsuit, Claims Girlfriend's Safety at Risk:

The lawsuit alleges that Mensa failed to pay rent for several months and has not made any effort to settle the debt, despite being an active user of social media where he portrays a flashy lifestyle.

In response to the lawsuit, Vic Mensa's representative told TMZ that the landlord had put the rapper's family in danger, especially his girlfriend, whose safety was threatened after a man broke into the apartment in March.

The representative noted that police had arrested the man and that court records revealed he had previously been arrested multiple times for crimes including battery and violating the sex offender registry.

The representative said Mensa and his family had moved out of the property and no longer owed rent.

Vic Mensa claimed that the landlord had failed to take sufficient security measures at the building, despite repeated requests.

Mensa said he had moved out immediately after the break-in and did not owe rent because he no longer lived there.

However, the landlord's attorney disputed this, saying that security was increased following the break-in and that the rent was still owed.

The case is ongoing and it remains to be seen how it will be resolved.
