Residents of Prime View City Estate in Ogun State have expressed fear after spotting snakes, alligators and scorpions crawling out of the rising flood waters around their properties.

The flood, caused by the release of water from the Oyan Dam, has been spreading across border communities in Lagos and Ogun States for the past two weeks, forcing some residents to abandon their homes and seek refuge elsewhere.

Governor Dapo Abiodun has inspected the affected areas, and the government has promised to take steps to alleviate the suffering of those impacted by the disaster.
