The Bahamas is mourning the sudden loss of a leading media figure, Mr Steve Haughey - a man whose contributions to the country’s media landscape cannot be overstated.

A financial maestro and media innovator, Haughey spearheaded the transformation of radio in the Bahamas, helping 100Jamz and the Tribune Group achieve new heights of success.

His passing is a huge blow to the media industry in the Bahamas, and he will be sorely missed.

Mr Haughey was a true powerhouse in the business world! He had a truly impressive career, from his early years in finance in Canada, to his leadership roles in the media industry in the Bahamas.

His expertise and contributions to the Joint Operating Agreement between two major newspapers and the financial management of the Colina Group will be felt for a long time to come. And you can't beat being known as "Mr Healthy" - dude had his fitness game on lock! Bahamas Press's tribute to him is a lovely touch.
