The Supreme Court has rejected a request to nullify the election victory of Enugu State governor, Peter Mbah, in a unanimous ruling.

A five-member panel of Justices, led by Justice Tijani Abubakar, dismissed as "incompetent" an appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Uche Nnaji, challenging Mbah's victory in the gubernatorial race.
The court ruled that the appellants failed to provide a legally valid brief of argument, which rendered their appeal invalid and thus unable to overturn Mbah's victory.
