On Monday, September 11, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed a landmark agreement that results in the immediate lifting of the visa ban imposed on Nigerian travelers.
According to the statement released by the presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelali, both Etihad and Emirates Airlines will resume their flight schedules in and out of Nigeria immediately, without further delay.
In addition, President Tinubu successfully negotiated a joint foreign exchange liquidity program between the two governments, details of which will be released in the coming weeks.
