President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The former Emir had recently returned from a visit to Niger, where he met with the military junta that seized power from the democratically elected President, Muhamad Bazoum.

Sanusi refused to disclose the purpose of his visit to Niger, simply stating "it's fine" when asked about it.
