Tito Jackson, renowned musician and founding member of the iconic Jackson 5, has left an indelible mark on the music world.

Sadly, his children announced his passing on Sunday, September 16th, 2024, at the age of 70.

Tito's children, Taj, Taryll, and TJ, shared an emotional statement on Instagram:

"It's with heavy hearts that we announce our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, is no longer with us. 

“We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared deeply about everyone and their well-being."

Reports suggest Tito succumbed to a heart attack, although the Jackson family has not officially confirmed the cause of death.

Tito's legacy extends beyond his work with the Jackson 5. 

He is survived by his three children, who continue to carry the family's musical torch through their group, 3T, and his grandchildren.

The music world mourns the loss of another Jackson family member, following the passing of Michael Jackson in 2009 and their father, Joe Jackson, in 2018.

Tito's contributions to music will forever be cherished. As a member of the Jackson 5, he helped shape the sound of Motown and inspired generations of musicians.
