The Nigerian LGBTQ+ community is reeling in shock as popular crossdresser, Abuja Area Mama, was reportedly murdered by unknown individuals in Abuja on Wednesday night, August 7, 2024.

"I'm still trying to process this devastating news," said a friend of the victim. "Abuja Area Mama was a shining star, always spreading love and acceptance. His senseless murder has left us all heartbroken."

According to eyewitnesses, the crossdresser was attacked and killed while wearing the same outfit he wore in a TikTok video posted earlier that evening.

"We found him lying on the ground, lifeless," said a passerby who wished to remain anonymous. "It was a horrific sight, and we immediately alerted the authorities."

The motive behind the brutal murder is still unknown, but police are investigating the incident.

"We condemn this heinous crime and will do everything in our power to bring the perpetrators to justice," said a police spokesperson.

Abuja Area Mama was a beloved figure in the Nigerian LGBTQ+ community, known for his vibrant personality and advocacy for acceptance and inclusivity.
