The death toll from the collapse of the roof of the Zaria Central Mosque in Kaduna State has risen to 10, with 30 others hospitalized with injuries.

The incident occurred on Friday, August 11, as worshippers were attending their weekly evening prayers. Four people died instantly, and the others were taken to the hospital.

An eyewitness described the scene: "We heard a loud noise, and the roof of the mosque fell on some worshippers. The area was covered in dust."
