Awesu Mojisola Oluwafunmike, who had recently celebrated her sign-out ceremony, was found dead three weeks after going missing.

According to reports, Mojisola was lured to Ilorin with a promise of N15,000 to act as a girlfriend for a night party.

However, upon arrival, she realized no party was taking place and felt uneasy in the hotel. Her phone was later switched off, and all attempts to reach her proved futile.

"The situation is devastating," said DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, spokesperson for the Kwara State Police Command. "We received a report from Mr. Olorunoje, a resident of the area, and immediately dispatched a team of detectives to the scene."

The investigation revealed traces of blood near the left ear of the deceased, and the body was later identified as Mojisola's.

Prof Anifowose Olamilekan, a lecturer at Kwara State College of Health Technology, expressed shock and sadness, saying, "Mojisola's mother works as a cleaner with the Ogun State Waste Management Agency. This is a tragic end to a young life."

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of accepting questionable offers and the importance of prioritizing safety.
