A church in Uganda has shattered the Guinness World Record for the longest applause by clapping for three hours and sixteen minutes nonstop.

The effort was no easy feat, as participants were not allowed to make any vocal noise, stomp their feet, or use musical instruments to accompany the applause.

Additionally, phones were required to be on silent mode and participants were not allowed to leave to use the bathroom.

To stay hydrated, designated people stood by with water bottles to keep the participants from breaking the applause.

In a spectacular feat, Phaneroo Ministries International in Uganda set a new Guinness World Record for the longest applause by clapping for three hours and sixteen minutes straight.

The event, dubbed "Clap for Jesus," was part of the church's 9th anniversary celebration and drew thousands of enthusiastic attendees.

If approved, the Guinness World Records decision will likely bring worldwide recognition for Phaneroo Ministries International and the congregation in Uganda.

The achievement will not only demonstrate the congregation's enthusiastic spirit, but also showcase Uganda's ability to set new records on the global stage.

Many in the country are hoping that the feat will draw international attention and put Uganda in the spotlight.
