Veritas University, Abuja, has refuted claims that its 100 Level student, Mr. Joshua Daniel, who passed away on Tuesday night, was stabbed.

The university clarified that the student died after collapsing at its gymnasium and expressed readiness to cooperate with authorities for a thorough investigation into the incident.

The university also committed to covering the cost of the autopsy to determine the cause of the student's death. The Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Ben Agande, stated that reports of stabbing were false and misleading.

He reiterated the university's commitment to supporting the investigation and respecting the privacy of the student's family during this difficult time. Mr. Agande also shared details of the incident, emphasizing that the student collapsed while exercising at the gymnasium, and despite efforts by the medical team, he could not be revived.

Veritas University expressed condolences to the student's family and assured that it would cooperate fully with the police and other relevant authorities to ascertain the cause of death.
