Nigerian striker Victor Boniface stole the show with a stunning brace as Bayer Leverkusen cruised to a convincing 4-1 away victory over Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

The win solidifies Leverkusen's position as a formidable force in the German top flight.

The visitors drew first blood through new signing Martin Terrier, who struck in the 17th minute courtesy of a precise assist from Boniface. 

The Nigerian forward's vision and passing range were on full display as he picked out Terrier with ease.

Boniface doubled the advantage on the half-hour mark, thanks to a clever setup by Granit Xhaka.
