An aircraft has crashed into a residential area in Oba Akran, a suburb of Lagos, Nigeria.

Upon landing, the aircraft immediately caught fire, resulting in a serious emergency situation.

First responders, including the fire department, the Rapid Response Squad, and officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, are on the scene.

Two people have been rescued so far, but it is unknown whether there were additional passengers on board the chopper.
