In the aftermath of the election tribunal's decision to remove Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf from office, the state government has imposed a 24-hour curfew.

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Usaini Gumel, announced that security forces will be deployed in the city to enforce the curfew.
The commissioner urged citizens to remain calm and to cooperate with security personnel in ensuring that the curfew is observed.
He said that the curfew was implemented to prevent the outbreak of violence in the wake of the tribunal's judgment.
