Renowned Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has refuted widely circulated claims that she was sexually harassed by men in the music industry. There were online rumors alleging that she stated she doesn't receive awards in Nigeria because she refuses to engage in sexual favors with the organizers.

In response, Yemi Alade criticized the spread of fake news by online outlets, calling it ridiculous and the height of idiocy. She took to her Instagram story to slam those spreading inaccurate information, referring to them as "dumb bloggers" and urging them to seek employment.
