Actor Jonathan Majors is facing a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, in which she accuses him of assault, battery, and defamation. In December, Majors was convicted of assaulting and harassing Jabbari in New York.

The civil lawsuit was filed on March 19 in federal court in New York. Jabbari also claims that Majors was physically violent towards her in incidents in Los Angeles and London. Jabbari alleges that in London in 2022, Majors strangled her and caused her head injury but discouraged her from seeking medical help.

She also accuses Majors of publicly defaming her after his arrest and criminal trial by calling her a liar. Majors' lawyer said that they are preparing counterclaims against Jabbari. Majors was found guilty of two misdemeanor charges in the New York trial, but the jury acquitted him of intentional assault and aggravated harassment. Majors is set to be sentenced on April 8.

Marvel and Disney announced they would no longer work with Majors in the MCU franchise following the December verdict. Marvel had previously planned to have him star in an upcoming film.
