A 300-level Computer Science student of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi, Naja'atu Salisu, tragically passed away on Friday morning, July 26.

She was discovered unconscious on the floor of the female hostel bathroom at the Gubi campus, where she had gone to shower and prepare for lectures.

According to her roommate, Naja'atu had completed her morning routine and was ready for class before entering the bathroom.

ATBU Spokesperson, Zailani Bappa, confirmed the incident, stating that she was rushed to the university clinic and later to the Trauma Centre of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Due to the inability to find a vein for medical treatment, Naja'atu was buried according to Islamic rites, and the university has offered prayers for her soul.
